The only issue I did have deals with a particular part of the explanation of the history of the book. In contrast, Mercy had little or no magic and was shunned by her aunt. This was just to fun! Something very various than the other ggie and Joel used to play together as kids. Demons that would enslave us. The pages are all wrinkled up. Meanwhile, Raffe hunts for his wings. Admittedly, I was a tad tired and it was quite late at night.
His slightly kinky side mostly dominance, no true whips and chains here , was a large turnon for me. I think you would either love or loathe this book. Meanwhile, am I the only one who is sick of girls getting pregnant at the drop of a hat?! For this series the reader must just suspend judgement and enjoy the ride. Don't obtain me wrong, the books are worth every penny, I guess I'm just cheap! Amerikana uspijeva u jednom i drugom. I thought she created the most of her scenes. It's certainly a smarter approach than the typical they've-always-been-around-and-nobody-noticed setup that most urban fantasies rely on. Until then I will re-read Fire and Ice Trilogy.
Ivy even proposes they place out a shingle together and begin their own personal runner service. Delia's gift has hurt her family in the past, but she's too curious to not bake her magical cupcakes. Her heroine and her sidekicks; vampire, pixie and human; are all loveable and believable if you read this kind of fiction often. And just when I though the story was winding up the loose ends, there were more surprises! All the filthy talk is Tessa's signature, she is the queen of filthy talk in my opinion. There was a detail that explained the alternate history that was beneficial to the reader, but the hero as a narrator would most likely not have known it didn't happen in the alternate history.
But she's a amazing thief. I won't bore you with a plot summary as I know other reviewers are fond of doing that. The only thing that drives me crazy is Rachel's freak outs about Ivy. For the next book, I hope Mercy finally starts acting like the self-assured girl we met in the opening chapter of this one. She has this crazy weird family that didn't want to try and teach her anything about magic?.
Buuuuut I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a little bit predictable - I could kinda see where things were headed from the beginning. I just wanted to get through this book. But life always seemed to have a method to crash all his hopes and his dreams took a nose dive when the one he loved the most was taken from him. Mind you, it's not a terribly long row! I really enjoyed the character's, had a bit of soap opera feel, however, I liked it. I do want to read on to the next in this series before making final judgment on it. On one journey, she finds a little dragon that's being bullied by the larger dragons bent on killing the little dragon.
Now scarlett and her allies must stop both the rogue wolf and the deadly hunter before the full moon rises and all hell breaks loose. This book will have you biting your nails, crying and laughing. It felt as if Horn had made a list of the elements most likely to appeal to readers of paranormal romance—plucky heroine, supernatural world, love triangles, Deep South quirkiness, melodramatic plot twists—and checked them off one by one. Then again, the Sookie Stackhouse books, to which the Witching Savannah series claims to be the heir, gets similar criticism and still manages to be a bestselling behemoth. Cold weather makes for excellent cuddle e Upside To Falling is the first book in the Blue Line Duet. I'm so glad I finally got around to reading it, even though I'm not one to fancy fantasy fiction.
The revelations in the last quarter of the book—no doubt meant to be shocking—piled up one after the other like cars on the Interstate. It was full of mystery. No money, no job, no apartment, no mates really. However, I'm left with a single unresolved problem with the first book: What in all Hollows did Ivy want for? I definitely enjoyed this book, and I think others will too. Overall, the ending was okay but it definitely took some random and weird ass turns.
I was looking forward to an interesting read when I cracked open this book. Having grown up without magic of her own, in the shadow of her talented and charismatic twin sister, Mercy has always thought herself content. First of the main characters are a unbelievable mix of paranormals. But they have normal issues as well as witchy ones. This has my highest private recommendation. I also came to care for Iris and Ellen. He gets angry, grumpy, and at a loss when it comes to girls, but when he takes care of his four-year-old brother, or helps Maggie with a chemistry assignment his gentle nature becomes e storyline itself is simple, but it has enough mystery and misdirection to hold it interesting.
